By the time the food is in the large intestine, it will be somewhat digested, but it will take longer and therefore the body usually keeps it at least another day to decompose properly.

This time varies according to a person’s gender as it usually takes 45 hours for women to decompose while it takes 35 hours for men.

The digestive process will also depend largely on the food eaten, as meat and fish take longer to be properly digested because protein and fat are made up of compound molecules and therefore take the body longer to assimilate.

The health of each person depends a lot on the digestive process being carried out correctly, as if it is carried out successfully you would also be benefiting in the sense of controlling your weight and therefore having a good figure.

The reason for this is that when you digest food well, you get the nutrients and calories your body needs to perform its functions.

If you don’t digest your food well, you’ll start to fill up with toxins and these can lead to illness and poor health.

Trikonasana

With this yoga position to improved digestion, you will have to put on your skin and take a step forward with your left leg, you will have to stretch it to form a straight line.

Your right leg will have to move forward a little bit, less than the other, and then turn it with your foot outwards at a 45° angle.

Then you have to rest your right way on your left shin or if possible on the floor and raise your right hand pointing to the sky.

Stretch your head out in front of you. When you finish this position, repeat the same procedure but with the opposite leg.

Paschimottanasana

To perform this yoga pose to improved digestion, sit on the floor extending your legs forward, then inhale and raise your hands above your head, exhale and tilt your body forward as far as possible.

Your spine should be stretched and kept straight. This posture should be maintained while you take about 15 breaths.

Setu Bansha Saravangasana

First you should lie down, then rest the soles of your feet as close to your bottom as possible, exhale and push your feet and arms into sleep while you stretch your knees out in front.

You have to take 10 breaths while performing this asana and then slowly return to your starting position.

Savasana

Lie on your back on the floor and bring your knees to your chest, thus neutralising your spine.

Then, let your legs naturally descend and remain extended on the floor and at the same time rest your hands on the floor at the level of your hips and with your palms up.

Adho Mukha Svanasana

To perform this yoga posture to improved digestion, start by placing your hands on the floor in a table position, leaving a distance between them similar to the width of your shoulders, and your feet should be separated at a distance equal to the width of your hips.

Once you’re in this position, use your core muscles to pull your hips back and raise them a little. Then bend your knees a little to stretch your spine and open your shoulders.
